Di rose ove s'indora
di fia megiante crine
la messagier'Aurora
con maniere divine,
e quasi unica p'role
sorg'e rinasce risplendent' il Sole.
Vidde l'Angel secondo,
l'Evangelista Santo
salir lieto'e giocondo
con e inericio manto,
e del eterna luce seco
il segno portard'invitto duce.
Non da clima straniero
eran cred'io portare
ne da terreno impero
quelle gemme beate,
ma da thesor Celeste
Francesco tu ne le tue membra haveste.
Coso formo di Dio
l'onipotente mano
tutto focoso e pio,
un edifi'humano,
ma di tal guisa impresso
che sembra solo il suo fattor istesso.
