German text Der Herr schauet vom Himmel auf der Menschen Kinder
daß er sehe, ob jemand klug sei und nach Gott frage,
aber sie sind alle abgewichen und allesamt untüchtig,
da ist keiner, der Gutes tu, auch nicht einer

(Original text from Psalm 14:2-3)

English translation The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men
to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy
there is none that doeth good, not one.

Italian translation Il Signore dal cielo si china sugli uomini
per vedere se esista un saggio, se c’è uno che cerchi Dio.
Tutti hanno traviato, sono tutti corrotti;
più nessuno fa il bene, neppure uno.
