Original text and translations
Italian text
Deh dolc' anima mia parti e ti consola
ch'infinit'e la schiera
degl'infelici amanti,
vive ben altr'in pianti,
si come tu cor mio,
ogni ferit' ha seco il suo dolore,
ne sei tu solo à lagrimar d'Amore.
The text, beginning with "e ti consola", is identical to Amarilli‘s words near the end of scene 3 of act 3 of "Il pastor fido" by Guarini, with the exception of "cor mio", which replaces "Mirtillo" in "Il pastor fido".
