David Monks studied Piano and Organ, Royal Irish Academy in Dublin and has an abiding interest in choirs, choral singing and choral composition. His choral experience goes back to the late 1960s and apart from being a chorister, he was a choirmaster in Ireland over many years. Currently he directs a small mixed-voice choir in the Languedoc, France where he now lives.
