Cum complerentur dies Pentecostes
erant omnes discipuli pariter in eodem loco, alleluia.
Et factus est repente de caelo sonus, alleluia,
tamquam advenienti Spiritus vehementis, alleluia.
Et apparuerunt illis dispertitae linguae tamquam ignis
seditque super singulos eorum Spiritus Sanctus, alleluia.

English.png English translation Acts of the Apostles, 2:1-3, New International Version, with insertion of the words 'the disciples', 'alleluia' and 'the Holy Spirit'

When the day of Pentecost came,
the disciples were all together in one place, alleluia.
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind, alleluia,
came from heaven (...), alleluia.
They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire
that separated and the Holy Spirit came to rest on each of them, alleluia.
