Description: From "Mapa Armónico Práctico"
(1742) folio 125 verso to 127 recto. A fragment of a villancico. The score is preceded by the following comment from the composer:
"El ejemplar que se sigue es fragmento de un villancico a 12, donde se halla una fuga entre todas las voces (aunque como la pasada [Super aspidem et basiscum ambulabis] no con todo rigor) que sirve para expresar la borrasca que pinta la poesía; y si en estas composiciones se añaden violines, o otros intrumentos, discurrase otra imitación para ellos, y que los accompañamientos vayan siempre golpeando a lo menos con semimínimas, porque todo haga juego, y se exprima más vivo lo que expresa la letra."
