Cinto di ardenti voglie in bianco letto
Fra belle ignude braccia
Provai sommo piacer, sommo diletto
Meco scherzava amor nel vago seno
Di voi, mio sole, e nella bella faccia
Mille stampava e mille dolci baci
Ond’io per tal gioire
sentendomi morire
Provai ch’un cor negli amorosi laci
Puo per troppo desire
E per soverchia gioia venir meno.

German.png German translation

Umfangen von heißem Verlangen im weißen Bett
in schönen nackten Armen,
empfand ich höchsten Freude, höchstes Vergnügen.
Mit mir scherzte Amor in eurer schönen Brust,
meine Sonne, und in das schöne Antlitz
drückte ich abertausend süße Küsse,
so dass ich, mich von solcher Freude
sterben fühlend,
erkannte, dass ein Herz in Liebesbanden
vor zu großer Begierde
und übergroßer Freude vergehen kann.

Embraced by burning desire in a white bed,
in beautiful naked arms,
I felt the highest joy, the highest delight.
Amor played with me in your beautiful breast,
my sun, and into the beautiful face
I pressed thousands of kisses,
wherefore, feeling me dying
for so much joy,
I perceived that a heart bound with amorous ties
may of too much desire
and exceeding joy pass away.
