Heinrich Isaac's Choralis Constantinus was commissioned for the cathedral of Constance in 1508 and published posthumously in three books 1550-1555. Volume I opens with Asperges me and a Gloria Patri, followed by propers of the de tempore Sundays. Volume 2 covers the major feasts employing sequences, mostly from the sanctoral cycle.
"Both [Johannes] Ott and {Ludwig] Senfl died before the combined collections were published, and Ott's widow, left with the manuscripts already in order and edited by Senfl, engaged Formschneider to publish the first volume … Formschneider subequently published Books II and III in 1555" (Feiszli 1985).
