French text Celle qui m'a tant pourmené, A eu pitié de ma langueur : Dedans son jardin m'a mené, Ou tous arbres sont en vigueur : Adoncques ne usa de rigueur, Si je la baise, elle m'accolle : Puis m'a donné son noble cueur, Dont il m'est advis que je volle. Modern French Celle qui m'a tant tourmenté a eu pitié de ma langueur dans son jardin m'a mené où tout les arbres sont en fleur. Elle m'a donc comblé de douceur, si je la baise, elle m'accolle, puis m'a donné son noble coeur dont il m'est d'avis que je vole!

English translation The one for whom I’ve been so keen Took pity at my lassitude; She led me to her garden green, Where all good trees show fortitude.
