::I would like to propose [[:Category:Music about music]]. I think it would stand alone, a subcat of Sheet music, but nothing else. The idea of categories by subject (topic) is an interesting one, but would be difficult to categorize - there are so many topics covered here! How do you subcategorize "Songs about love" for example? What do people think about a new category for "odes to music"? Many leading composers have produced one of these odes: Schubert, Purcell, Tomkins, Lassus, Bateson, Parry, Chabrier and Holst.
Some of these odes are addressed to Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music. There is a category for those http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Category:St._Cecilia but many other odes to music do not mention her at all, most notably perhaps Schubert's "An die Musik".
