This subcategory of Category:Hymn meters is for hymns whose meter is irregular. Hymn tunes so categorized should have [[Category:Irregular meter|n]] added to them, where "n" is the number of lines in the tune. The recommended way to reference this category on a hymn, hymn setting, or hymn tune page is to type

[[:Category:Irregular meter|Irregular]]

in the meter field, so that the field looks like

Meter: Irregular.
