Biography

Benjamin Lambord was born in Portland, Maine, and studied with Arthur B. Whiting in Boston, with Edward MacDowell at Columbia University, and studied in Paris. He held numerous organist positions and founded the Lambord Choral Society which became the Modern Music Society, intended to provide opportunity for American compositions. He died in Lake Hopatoong, New Jersey. His compositions include a small variety of works.
