Latin text Ave, color vini clari, Ave, sapor sine pari Tua nos inebriari Digneris potentia. O quam felix creatura! Quam perduxit vitis pura! Omnis mensa sit secura In tua presentia. O quam placens in colore, O quam fragrans in odore, O quam sapidum in ore, Dulce linguis vinculum! Felix venter quem intrabis Felix guttur quod rigabis, O felix os, quod lababis O beata labia. Ergo, vinum collaudemus, Potatores exaltemus, Non potantes confundemus In aeterna saecula. Amen!

English translation Hail, clear color of wine; Hail, flavor without equal; And your deeming power To make us drunk. O such happy creation! Such preserver of pure vine! Every table is assured In your presence. O so pleasing in color, O so fragrant in odore, O so tasty in the mouth, Sweetly bonding with the tongue! Happy is the stomach where you go, Happy is the throat which you moisten, O happy mouth that shakes, O blessed lips. Therefore, let us praise wine Exalt the drinkers Confound the non-drinkers For ever and ever. Amen!
