Latin.png Latin text

Assumpta est Maria in coelum, gaudent angeli, (col)laudantes benedicunt Dominum. Alleluia.

Variant 1

Variant 3

Assumpta est Maria in coelum. Alleluia.
Alleluia

English.png English translation

Mary is taken up into heaven; the Angels rejoice, praising, they bless God. Alleluia.

Variant 1
Mary the Virgin is taken up into the heavenly chamber, in which the King of kings
sits upon His starry throne.

Variant 2

Let all rejoice and be glad with righteous heart, for today the Virgin Mary reigns with Christ for evermore.

Who is she that comes like the dawn,
fair as the moon, bright as the sun,
terrible as an army prepared for battle?

Variant 3

Mary is taken up into heaven. Alleluia.
At whose assumption, the angels rejoice and the archangels are glad. Alleluia.
