Life

Born: 1971

Biography

Andrea Cogliati (b. 1971; Milan, Italy) attended the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Milan, Italy, where he studied organ, conducting, and composition with Antonio Eros Negri. He also attended composition classes with Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon and Allan Schindler at the Eastman School of Music. He received a BS in Mathematics from Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy) and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Rochester, with a thesis on Automatic Music Transcription. He currently lives in Rochester, NY and can be reached at andrea.cogliati@me.com
