Ch‘havete il nome della donna mia,
Che più d‘altra il mio cor brama e desia,
Quanto lieto vi miro,
Membrando la cagion del mio martiro.
Se ben languide sete,
Voi perciò non morrete,
Che vive vi terrò con quel humore,
Che stillando per gli occhi esce dal core.

die ihr den Namen meiner Herrin tragt,
die mein Herz mehr als jede andere begehrt und ersehnt,
wie freudig betrachte ich euch,
mich erinnernd an die Ursache meines Leidens.
Auch wenn ihr wohl darbt,
werdet ihr deshalb nicht sterben,
da ich euch lebend erhalten werde mit jenem Nass,
