A nostri prieghi, o maesta divina,
gli orecch'inchina
sol per tua pietate,
et per bonte acceta dei devoti
toi serv'i voti.

Mira benigno dal tuo seggio santo,
il nostro pianto
et con sereno aspetto,
al nostro pett'ogni tenebra sgombra,
che il cuor n'ingombra.

Perdona i falli et tante colpe gravi,
tua pietà lavi
e rompi la catene,
solliev'al bene
con la man potente
l'alma giacente.

Senza te ci sommergon le profonde,
horribil' onde
dell' eterna morte,
ma'l tuo braccio forte
n'erge à le stelle
lucenti et belle.
