1.1 Let us give thanks to the Lord with our hearts, hands and voices.
The Lord has wrought wonders, and we rejoice in thanksgiving;
Blessed by the Lord from the day of our birth,
The Lord's abundant, endless love to us have been bestowed.
1.2 May the loving and true God always be close to me all my life.
Give me joy and peace in my heart;
Guide and keep me from all evil,
Whate'er in this life now or yet, may I be blessed of the Lord.
1.3 Give thanks and praise to God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
The God who reigns on high, the almighty holy One;
Eternal life is to know this One, whom heaven and earth adore,
who was, and is and is to come forevermore.
