  • Bar 26:Bass - omnia clearly requires E, rather than E.
  • I find it intriguing that the two upper voices are often so far removed in pitch from the two lower ones, and suspect that the harmonies would work better if the soprano and alto lines were taken down an octave, making this virtually a male-voice work.
A better resolution is to switch the Alto and Tenor (taking the former down an octave, the latter up). G H (talk) 02:04, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

  • Bar 3: Alto - dul- should probably be B.
  • Bar 22: Soprano - praesenti- should almost certainly be E, not E.

Voicing

After using this motet several times, I have reached the conclusion that the voicing as presented in earlier editions can't possibly be correct. The "soprano" line is stratospheric, and the gap between the supposed upper and lower voices is far too wide. Almost certainly the original voicing was ATTB, but this was misinterpreted and the upper two voices pitched an octave too high. I have uploaded one new edition at ATTB, and another tranposed up a fourth for SATB. The result is far more satisfactory than any other solution (including my own earlier solution of swapping the notated alto and tenor parts). GSH (talk) 01:52, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
