1. How great in Sion Thou art praised,
No mortal tongue, O Lord, can tell.
A-bove the sky Thy throne is raised,
All of earth's creatures laud Thee well.
O Lord, Thy greatness ev-'rywhere reigneth,
All things Thy heav'nly might ordaineth.

2. The lamb of gold upon Thine altar
showeth to us Thine effigy.
We sing to Thee with lyre and psalter,
Incense and myrrh We sing to Thee
Borne in the clouds from censors burning
Riseth to Thee our heart's deep yearning.

3. The sun's bright rays to us Thou leadest,
Thy love is like a father's love,
The hungry ones with manna feedest,
Callest us to Thy realms above.
The sinner fears Thy visitation,
But to the blessed comes salvation.

4. O God, unto Thy heav'nly dwelling
Send we our voices e'er anew!
Our heart's deep yearning ever telling
Flow forth our tears like morning dew.
An altar in our hearts we raise Thee,
Ever, O Lord, we sing and praise Thee!}}

The hungry ones with manna feedest,

4. O God, unto Thy heav'nly dwelling
Send we our voices e'er anew!
Our heart's deep yearning ever telling
Flow forth our tears like morning dew.
An altar in our hearts we raise Thee,
Ever, O Lord, we sing and praise Thee!
