Italian text Misero che farò dirò ch'io moro, fiera stell'empia sorte, Ahi non sia ver, perche colei ch'adoro, gioisce di mia morte, Amor, dammi tuaita o levami la vita. Mirate almen ch'io moro.

English text Wretched, what shall I do, I'll say that I die, cruel star, wicked fate, Ah, let it not be true, for she whom I adore, rejoices in my death, Love, give me your aid, or take away my life. At least look upon me as I die.
