Only the first verse of the text given here (verse 23 of Sternhold's Ps. 73) is printed in the source: the next three verses, to the end of the psalm, have been added editorially. The small notes in this edition in the bass part in bars 5-6 are editorial, and may be played by a bass instrument if one is used to accompany the voices, in order to avoid inverting the harmony at this point where the tenor and bass parts cross.
