Original text and translations

Latin.png Latin text

Vidit Jacob scalam,
Summitas ejus caelos tangebat,
Et Angelos descendentes,
Et dixit: Vere locus iste sanctus est. Alleluia.

O quam metuendus est locus iste.
Vere non est hic aliud nisi domus Dei
et porta coeli. Alleluya.

English.png English translation

Jacob saw a ladder,
the top of which reached to heaven,
and angels descending on it.
And he said: Surely this place is holy. Alleluia.

(Genesis 28:12,17)
