English text
Snow falls lightly across the moon.
Our footsteps are heavy, but soon we’ll be there,
We’ll see the Babe asleep in splendor.
We’ll soon be there.
The day our servants at the gate
wished us well and bid us haste.
Now seems a dream of long ago.
And unexpectedly came the snow.
The journey now ends on this dark night,
but we are happy to see the sight of the new born babe asleep,
asleep in the light eternal that shines around Him.
For days and days we have not slept.
Often we have stumbled often we’ve wept.
But now the babe awakes with a smile.
And time is still for a little while.
