Publication Page?

Should this be a publication page? I notice the four movements are by different composers. Was Felip Pedrell the composer of the whole thing or was he the Editor? If this were a publication page, each movement could have its own work page and each composer could have their own page as well. GeoffG (talk) 15:39, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

I agree, this should be a publication page. I have moved three works to separate pages; the remaining "work" is on 9 pages in the manuscript – I'm thinking it should be moved to Dixit dominus (Anonymous), if all Anonymous, or to nine separate pages if they are by different composers. — Barry Johnston (talk) 17:49, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
(8) Fabordones … como se cantan en S. Lorenzio (Anonymous) would be preferable to Dixit (these are generic chants), and it would be nice to know more than just 'anonymous': which San Lorenzio is meant? El Escorial? in Italy? are we perhaps dealing instead with 'unknown'? Richard Mix (talk) 22:56, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
Judging from Pedrell's Wikipedia page, El Escorial seems most likely. He collected and transcribed Spanish manuscripts while based in Madrid, so in the absence of specification, the local San Lorenzo would have been assumed/understood, I think. GeoffG (talk) 23:54, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
Someone should attempt to extract a Works List from Anglés 1920. My understanding of Catalan is not good; perhaps someone else? — Barry Johnston (talk) 03:30, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
I'll give it a shot. It looks like the contents start on page 33. It confirms, at least, that "Sant Llorenç de l'Escorial" is the San Lorenzo in question. GeoffG (talk) 03:39, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
Impressed, once again! Richard Mix (talk) 01:09, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, Richard! GeoffG (talk) 03:00, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
