Login required?
I just tried to view the RSS feed of recent changes, but it came back with an error -- so I typed in cpdl.org in the address bar ... and was redirected to the Login screen. That screen had a note that said logging in was required to access any page on CPDL. What's up with that? (Or is my browser just being retarded?) Kkroon 07:28, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Never mind -- it looks like "user account creation spam" Kkroon 07:31, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Kurtis, fortunately this huge string of new users is not the work of spammers! It's real people trying to access CPDL after access to it was restricted by Max as an emergency measure, because of severe server bottlenecks. Better solutions are already being discussed at the forums. Regards, —Carlos 19:27, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
Most recent scores?
I've been assuming I'm keeping track of all new additions from the main page "Most recent scores" but notice Iste est qui ante Deum (Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina) seems to be missing, and the list Category:Posted on day 8 doesn't match up very well. Richard Mix (talk) 02:33, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
- I guess it's because two bottom lines were missing, particularly the "Category:Sheet music" one. New editions' list shows only title of work pages, not new user pages, text pages, etc. BTW, this thread could have been instantiated on the work page discussion tab. - ...if I had realized the issue ;-) but thanks! Category Posted on Day 8 made me think there was something else going on, before I noticed that the rest of Category:Posted on day 8 was from September. Richard Mix (talk) 20:44, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
Seasonal music
I'm not quite sure why, but ChoralWiki:Seasonal music has pulled up Advent thru Epiphany instead of Eastertide thru Corpus Christi, along with the correct weekly code for week 22. Richard Mix (talk) 18:41, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
- The way the #Switch works: lines without an equal sign use the code for the next line with an equal sign. Did you want "Eastertide through Corpus Christi" to appear in weeks 14 through 22? Then move that code to 22. What is the end date for "Advent through Epiphany"? – you need to move that code to the end week for that season. Does that help? — Barry Johnston (talk) 01:00, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, thanks! I've trimmed superfluous bits so next year might be easier to remember. Richard Mix (talk) 22:16, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
This year Ash Wednesday is February 22 of course, and from the date given for "This Sunday, February 27" readers will guess the code wants updating. It's become a bit complicated with the attempts at automation, and discussions are unfortunately scattered over different User Talk Pages, emails and discussion pages of some test sites that Barry set up. In the meanwhile, apologies for the muddle! Richard Mix (talk) 00:57, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
Bug
Has the main page bugged out for anyone else? Only taking up half the screen, page extends much further down, listed of recently added works disappeared? Droopop (talk) 00:25, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- This appears to be the result of recent edits made in an attempt to update seasonal dates. I was waiting to see if the editor who made them intended to make more, but they could also be reverted. - GeoffG (talk) 00:41, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- I have reverted the most recent edit to ChoralWiki:Seasonal music, which has corrected the distortion of the Main Page - GeoffG (talk) 00:46, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry about that! The dates for Sunday have been off since June. I'm not sure whether I lost a bracket somewhere or whether using comments --> was the culprit, but the code has gotten rather complicated. Richard Mix (talk) 19:10, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
