German text So fahr ich hin zu Jesu Christ, Mein Arm tu ich ausstrecken; So schlaf ich ein, und ruhe fein, Kein Mensch kann mich aufwecken: Denn Jesus Christus, Gottes Sohn, Der wird die Himmelstür auftun, Mich führen zum ewigen Leben.

English translation So I go to Jesus Christ, And stretch out my arm to Him; So I sleep, and rest easy, No man can wake me: For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Will open the doors of heaven, And lead me to eternal life. Translation by James Gibb
