Se lieta e grata morte
Da gli occhi di madonna al cor mi viene
Che dolce me’l morir dolce le pene
Perche qual hor la miro
Volgers’in si benigno e lieto giro
Subito per dolcezza il cor si more.
La lingua muta tace,
Ogni spirito giace
Attento per sentire
Un si dolce morire
Ma tanto del morir gioisce’l core
Che poi non sento noia
Anci la morte si convert’in gioia
Donque se la mia donna e di tal forte
Che sentir fammi morte si gradita
Che saria poi si la me desse vita.
