Description: Source: a manuscript copied by Alamire. The notes are very clear, the text less so, unfortunately. I have not been able to identify any other setting of the text, which also clearly does not originate in a plainchant source. Curiously, the work does not appear to have been recorded, although it is of considerable interest. The only performance I am aware of at all was one by my own ensemble in 2013.

Virtute pudiciae coloravit prae caeteris.

Et gloriam qua dotare
quis poterit eructare
tuam beatitudinem?

tu per donum singularem
archangelorum ordinem
transcendere et dum nominem
creditur te superare
quis poterit eructare
tuam beatitudinem?

In summitate caelorum
sic radiens stella maris
super choros angelorum
in summitate caelorum
suscipe laudes servorum
