 Nel bel giardin' entrate,
Felici Alme ben nate.
Che qui udite il canto,
Che dolce fann' Augei per ogni canto.
E starete a vedere,
Correr selvaggie Fere.
Ecco da l'horto colta Lattuca tenerina,
In cui par che s'affina,
Licor di nera oliva,
Che i desti sensi aviva.

Ma pria odorate il vicin spico,
Et poi, fedete a mensa Voi:
Ch'a quest' Aure seconde fior frutti e fronde,
Vi soffron a servir,
Quinci surgendo con le fronti liete
Chiare fresch' e dolc' acque inchenerete.

English.png English translation

Enter into this beautiful garden,
Happy, Good wellborn.
Hear the song of sweet nightingales.
and see the stream making a dance.
taste from the orchard
Greens have been grown here,
And that seems most refined.
Sweet oil of black olives.
Rejoice in the senses.

But first feel the smell of the neighborhood,
And then, eat from this table:
Oh, these golden moments of flowers and fronds,
If You will suffer us to to serve you,
running about with the smiling faces
Clear fresh and sweet water.
