Latin text Multifariam multisque modis olim Deus loquens patribus in prophetis, novissime diebus istis locutus est nobis in Filio, quem constituit haeredem universorum per quem fecit et saecula. (Hbr 1,1-2)

English translation God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.

Hungarian translation Sokszor és sokféle módon szólt hajdan Isten az atyákhoz a próféták által, ezekben a végső napokban pedig Fia által szólt hozzánk, akit a mindenség örökösévé rendelt, aki által a világokat is teremtette. (Zsid 1,1-2)
