English text
Moonlight and music entrancingly mingle,
Fresh is the fragrance of dew-dappled leas,
Fireflies are lighting the depths of the dingle,
Blithest of bird haunts in bloom laden trees,
Oh! to be roaming with thee in the gloaming,
Love lives a lifetime in moments like these!
A nightingale sings in the sycamore’s shadow,
While roses in rapture cling close to the tree,
Lonely I linger, and muse in the meadow,
Watching, and waiting, and longing for thee.
Zephyr is sighing, the moments are flying:
Come, O beloved, and wander with me!
