Latin text Miserere mei Domine quoniam clamavi tota die: laetifica animam servi tui, quoniam suavis et mitis es. (c.f. Psalm 86:3-5)

English translation Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I have cried [to thee] all the day.   Gladden the soul of thy servant, for Thou art sweet and mild.
