Italian text «Mercè!», grido piangendo, ma chi m'ascolta? Ahi lasso, io vengo meno. Morrò dunque tacendo. Deh, per pietade! Almeno, o del mio cor tesoro, potessi dirti pria ch'io mora: «Io moro.»

Spanish translation «¡Merced!» grito llorando, más ¿quién me escucha? ¡Ay de mí! Estoy desfalleciendo. Y muero pues callando. Ay, por piedad! Al menos, oh de mi corazón tesoro mío, pudiera decirte antes de que me muera: «Me muero.»

English translation "Mercy!" I cry, weeping. But who hears me? Alas, I faint. I shall die, therefore, in silence. Ah, for pity! At least, oh treasure of my heart, let me tell you before I die, "I die!" Translation by Mick Swithinbank

German translation «Gnade!», rufe ich weinend, doch wer hört mich? Ach ich Ärmster! Meine Kräfte schwinden mir und schweigend sterbe ich. Ach, Erbarmen! Wenn wenigstens, o meines Herzens Schatze, ich dir doch sagen könnt, bevor ich sterbe: «Ich sterbe!»
