She lulléd a little child,
A sweeté lording.

That made allé thing;
Of allé lordés he is Lord
Of allé kinges King.

At that childés birth:
Though the songsters were heavenly

Er ist derselbige Herr, der alles schuf,

Großer Lobgesang erklang zu des Knaben Geburt,
in himmlischem Glück und mit großer Freud.

In hellem Ton sang der Engel Schar:
Sei gesegnet und auch sie, die so gütig und sanft.

Beten wir nun zu dem Knaben, und zu seiner lieben Mutter,
Gott möge sie segnen dass alle jubeln.
