Ukrainian text 1 Nova radist' stala, yaka ne buvala: Nad vertepom zvizda yasna Svitlom zasiyala. 2 De Khristos rodihvsya, Z divih voplotihvsya. Yak cholovik pelanamih Uboho povihvsya. 3 Anhelih spivayut': "Slava" voshlihchayut', Na nebesakh i na zemli Mihr pro povi dayut.

English text 1 Joy on earth now appearing. Wondrous light to us nearing. Brightly beaming o'er the manger Shines the Star of Bethlehem. 2 Holy Christ, born in glory, Virgin born, son of Mary, Lying lowly in a manger, See the babe of Bethlehem. 3 Angels lift up their voices: Gloria in excelsis!
