Je me contente sans avoir joyssance,
d'amours j'ay trop à souffisance,
pour ce, le jeu j'en veulx quicter,
car par trop longue est l’espérance
du bien qu'ay voulu désirer,
dont prendre veulx en patience,
en brief, d'amours me retirer.

With love my cup has overrun,
Therefore, I want to quit this game.
It’s been too long, I’d fain be done
With endless waiting for my aim,
The which I’ve suffered ‘til I’m numb,
In short, this love I now disclaim.
