Born: c. 1529
Died: 8 January 1567 in Vienna
Biography Vaet's age is given as 13 in the 1543 record of his admittance as a choirboy at the Onze Lieve Vrouwkerk in Kortrijk. By 1550 he was a tenor in the chapel of Charles V, and by 1554 was Kapellmeister to Archduke Maximilian, whom he continued to serve when the latter became Emperor Maximilian II in 1564.
