1. If the Savior wants somebody just to fill a humble place,
And to show that to the lowly God will give sufficient grace,
I am ready now to offer all I am, what-e’er it be,
And to say to Him this moment, Here am I, send me.

Chorus
Here am I, send me,
Here am I, send me,
If the Master wants somebody,
Here am I, send me.

2. If it is to bear the crosses with a heart resigned and true,
Just to testify to others what the grace of God can do,
I will gladly undertake it, though the way I cannot see,
And will answer, blessed Master, Here am I, send me.

3. If it is to bear afflictions so that earthly joys depart,
With a weak and painful body and a sad and downcast heart,
Just to show that God is with us when our health and all else flee,
If it be Thy will, my Savior, Here am I, send me.

4. If He wants someone to travel in the byways and the lanes,
And to try and save the outcast, those whom sin has almost slain,
In His name I make the promise, I will go where-e'er it be,
If the Master wants somebody, Here am I, send me.
