Number of voices: 4vv Voicing: SATB
Genre: Secular, Villancico

Description: This work appears without mention of the composer in the Cancionero de Upsala, but is often attributed to Bartomeu Cárceres or Mateo Flecha el Viejo. The reason for attributing it to the latter is that this piece is very similar to Flecha's Riu, riu, chiu, in the same Cancionero de Upsala. On the other hand, there exists also an exact contrafactum of this piece with a (much longer) religious text by Cárceres in the Cancionero de Gandía.
