Description: This is the third part of Schütz's 5-part set of Passion motets (SWV 56-60). First part is Quid commisisti, O dulcissime puer; second part is Ego sum tui plaga doloris; fourth part is Quo, nate Dei; fifth part is Calicem salutaris accipiam.

Latin text Ego enim inique egi, tu poena mulctaris; Ego facinus admisi, tu ultione plecteris; Ego superbivi, tu humiliaris; Ego tumui, tu attenuaris; Ego praesumpsi vetitum, tu mortis subiisti aculeum; Ego pomi dulcedinem, tu fellis gustasti amaritudinem. Dutch translation Immers, ik heb mij onbillijk gedragen, jij werd met foltering gestraft; ik heb me schuldig gemaakt aan een misdaad, jij werd uit wraak gestraft. Ik was trots, jij werd gekleineerd; ik was opgeblazen, jij werd uitgeknepen ik genoot van het verbodene, jij onderging de uitdaging van de dood. ik gaf me over aan zoet fruit.
