Da trunken sie die liebe lange nacht,
bis daß der lichte morgen anbrach,
der helle lichte morgen.
Sie sungen und sprungen und waren fro
und lebten ohn alle sorgen./
(und lehten on alle sorgen.)
 

English translation

Then They drank all the lovely long night,
untill the morning did bring the light,
The bright and clear morning,
They sung and danced and made merry
and lived without any sorrow./
(and laughed at every sorrow.)
