Manuscript post 1445 in the Trent codices 93, no. 93-159
Description: “In Purificatione BMV sequentia” transcribed from the Trent manuscript tr93. The time signatures, notes' values and colourings are as in the manuscript. The perfect notes have been dotted and the coloured notes in the Superius are “hemiolæ”. In the 6th (Contra C5 to C3) and the last (Contra C5 to C9 and Tenor C7 to C5) verses the clefs have been changed to make the counterpoint meaningful. The notes in the Contra within square brackets are the editorial integration of missing mesures. The notes' values within the "ligaturæ" are as follows: the left upstemmed notes are semibreves - the unstemmed notes are breves - the right downstemmed note is a longa. The "musica ficta" suggestions are in the MIDI and MusicXML files.

Latin text
Concentu parili hic te maria veneratur populus
teque piis colit cordibus
Sanctissima torpore, castissima moribus
omniumque pulcherrima virgo virginum.
In cuius sacratissimo sanguine emundatur
universitas perditissimi generis
ut promisit deus abrahæ
Tu porta iugiter serata quam ezechielis vox testatur
maria soli deo pervia esse creditur
Ad templum detulisti tecum mundandum
qui (tibi) integritatis decus
deus homo genitus adauxit intacta genitrix
