Chi vuol veder fè pura, baldo ardore,
Gentil valor et alta cortesia,
Veng' a mirar costui ;
Chi vuol veder pudico acceso core,
Beltade honesta, schiva leggiadria,
Vengh' a mirar costei ;
Coppia, che per miracol scelse Amore,
Fra fidi amanti, lui,
Fra caste vergin, lei,
Ond'in aurato caro nodo tessa
E Barbara e Filippo,
Felici, a cui null’altro essempio appressa.

German.png German translation

Wer sehen will reine Treue, vewegene Leidenschaft,
edle Tapferkeit und höchster Gefälligkeit,
komme, um diesen anzuschauen;
wer sehen will ein schamhaft entflammtes Herz,
ehrsame Schönheit, züchtige Anmut,
komme, um diese anzuschauen;
ein Paar, das durch ein Wunder Amor erwählte,
unter den treuen Lebenden ihn,
unter den züchtigen Jungfrauen sie,
weshalb er mit vergoldetem teurem Knoten verbinde
sowohl Barbara als auch Philipp,
Glückliche, denen kein anderes Beispiel nahekommt.

English.png English translation

Who wants to see pure fidelity, keen passion,
gentle bravery and hihest courtesy,
shall come to behold him;
who wants to see a coily enflamed heart,
honest beauty, chaste grace,
shall come to behold her:
a couple, that by a miracle Amor chose,
among faithful lovers, him.
among the chaste virgins, her,
so that with a dear golden knot he may link
Barbara as well as Philipp,
happy ones, which no other example comes near to.
