English text
Aurora wakes in golden light,
The skylark wings his upward flight
O’er meadows green and pearly;
The blackbird whistles on the bough,
The merry thrush is piping now,
All in the morning early.
Her blithesome tune the milkmaid sings
As home the dripping pail she brings
Where meadow dews are pearly;
A sound of joy is on the breeze,
And birds make vocal all the trees,
All in the morning early.
