Version A
Ascendente Iesu in naviculam,
secuti sunt eum discipuli eius
et ecce motus magnus factus est in mari
ita ut navicula operiretur fluctibus
ipse vero dormiebat
et accesserunt ad eum discipuli eius
et suscitaverunt eum dicentes:

Domine salva nos perimus.
Et dicit eis Iesus:
Quid timidi estis modicae fidei:
Tunc surgens imperavit ventis et mari
et facta est tranquillitas magna.

Version B
Ascendente Iesu in naviculam
secuti sunt eum discipuli eius.
Et ecce motus magnus factus est in mari,
adeo ut navicula operiretur a fluctibus;
ipse vero dormiebat.
Et accedentes discipuli
excitaverunt eum dicentes:

Domine serva nos, perimus.
Et dicit eis:
quid timidi estis, modicae fidei?
Tunc excitatus increpavit ventos et mare
et facta est tranquillitas magna.

Als Jesus in das Boot stieg,
folgten ihm seine Jünger.
Und siehe, da geschah ein großes Beben im Meer,
sodass das Boot von den Wellen bedeckt wurde.
Er aber schlief.
Und sie traten zu ihm,
weckten ihn auf und sprachen:

Herr, hilf uns, wir verderben!
Da sagt er zu ihnen: Ihr Kleingläubigen, warum seid ihr so furchtsam?
Sodann stand er auf und bedrohte die Winde und das Meer;
und es ward eine große Stille.
(Nach Lutherbibel 2017)

English.png English translation

When Jesus was entered into a ship,
his disciples followed him.
And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea,
insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves:
but he was asleep.
And his disciples came to him,
and awoke him, saying:

Lord, save us, we perish.
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?
Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea;
and there was a great calm.
