French text Adieu m'amour et mon desir, De vous je prens departement; Si je vous ay fait des plaisir, Passant vostre commandement, Pardonnez moi joyeusement: J'ay mis mon cueur a si grant paine A vous servir loyallement, Helas, helas! J'ay bien perdu ma paine, Helas, helas! J'ay bien perdu ma paine.

English translation Farewell my love and my desire Of you I take my leave; If I have displeased you, Failling[sic] your commands, Pardon me happily I set my heart to serve you, I set my heart to serve you, Alas! Alas! I have truly wasted my labour.
