Latin text Ad te levavi oculos meos, qui habitas in coelis. Miserere nostri Domine,  quia multum repleti sumus despectione. Adjutorium nostrum in nomine Domini  qui fecit coelum et terram. Benefac Domine bonis et rectis corde. Convertere Domine captivitatem nostram  sicut torrens in austro.

English translation To you I lift up my eyes, who dwells in the heavens. Have mercy on us, Lord,  for greatly are we filled with contempt. Our help is in the name of the Lord,  who made heaven and earth. Do good, Lord, to those who are good and righteous in heart. Change, Lord, our bondage  as a southern flood.
