Richard Perrignon is an Australian Catholic musician with more than 25 years’ experience in writing and directing sacred music in the liturgy. He is artistic director of ''Capella sublima'', a performing ensemble that specializes in Renaissance polyphony, and a visiting choirmaster at St. Mary's Cathedral, Sydney. He was Director of Music at the former Dominican Priory at Wahroonga, Sydney, from 1998 to 2006. He is a Fellow of St. John's College within the University of Sydney.

He studied piano and violin from an early age, entering the New South Wales State Conservatorium of Music as as teenager on violin scholarship, where he studied under the late Eva Kelly of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.He later studied violin under the late Dorel Tincu of the Sydney String Quartet, and classical organ under the Principal Organist of Sydney University, Norman Johnston (a pupil of Marchal, St Eustache). From the age of seven, he sang as a chorister under the direction of Professor David Branagan, from whom he learned the art of choral directing, and was introduced to the repertoire of sacred polyphony. While studying at the Conservatorium, he also studied for degrees in Arts and Laws at the University of Sydney. After 16 years as organist of St Peter Julian's Church in the city of Sydney, he was appointed Director of Music of the former Dominican Priory at Wahroonga, Sydney, from 1998 to 2006, which enjoyed a long choral tradition. In 2001 he founded the Australian vocal ensemble, Capella sublima, of which he remains the artistic director. He was elected a Fellow of St. John's College from 2005 to 2011. He has composed sacred music for many years, and continues to do so at St John's College.

Richard Perrignon is the Master of Sacred Music at the College of St John the Evangelist within the University of Sydney, Australia. He studied piano and violin from an early age, entering the New South Wales State Conservatorium of Music as as teenager on violin scholarship, where he studied under the late Eva Kelly of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.He later studied violin under the late Dorel Tincu of the Sydney String Quartet, and classical organ under the Principal Organist of Sydney University, Norman Johnston (a pupil of Marchal, St Eustache).
