Estans assis aux rives aquatiques De Babylon, plorions melancoliques, Nous souvenans du pays de Sion. Et au milieu de l’habitation, Où de regrets tant de pleurs espandismes, Aux saules verds nos harpes nous pendismes.
English translation
When we did sit in Babylon the rivers round about, Then in remembrance of Zion the tears for grief burst out. We hanged our harps and instruments the willow trees upon: For in that place men for their use had planted many one.
